	Lectures
	Our next Winter lecture is on 6th November when Samuel Corke will talk on "The whats, whys and hows of environmental archaeology". Lecture held at the McDonald Building, Downing Street, Cambridge from 7.30pm.
	Fieldwork
	We are finally able to go field walking at Ickleton, Grange Road, this Sunday 17th November. Hopefully the weather will be OK.

Wimpole: silent voices and deserted homes

Research

Members of the Group have been researching documents, maps, aerial photographs and finds in museums for evidence of the history of Wimpole and its people.

Our major start and end points are the map of the estate drawn up by Benjamin Hare for Thomas Chicheley, the lord of the manor, in 1648, and the Tithe Redemption Map for the parish in 1837.
